Activities for all the Family |
We hope that Rail Ex Taunton can provide something for all the family to enjoy including the younger members who are the future of the hobby. Sunday is a quieter day and most appropriate for families with smaller children as they will be able to view the layouts better. If each child brings a small step they will be able to see the higher layouts without the need for any parental heavy lifting. The venue is on one level and there are easily accessable toilets situated and signed by the main entrance. |

Stefan (right) is the show organiser. There is a trail for children to follow as they move through the show. The trail can be obtained from one of the ticket desks. Stefan is resting in his garden because he thinks he has finished organising the show BUT he does not know that the rest of his helpers are playing hide and seek and are hiding somewhere in the exhibition halls. Can you help Stefan find his helpers as you move around the exhibition? If you want to help Stefan then pick up an information sheet from one of the ticket desks and get searching. |

There is alot to see and take in for young children and it might be advisable to split your visit in two. You might consider viewing the Exhibition Hall 3 'Sports Hall first then take a break by visiting the school restaurant for refreshment. Everything from drinks, biscuits, cakes through to a full Sunday roast is available. If your children are energetic and the weather is fair they can let off steam on the playing fields. Return to the venue to view the remaining three exhibition halls and then look at some of the trade stands/demonstrations etc |
